In my continuing fascination with the bargain rack near the register, I picked up a bottle of the Barefoot Cellars Cabernet Sauvignon. Also got a Chardonnay for cooking purposes tomorrow. I've heard a lot about this wine--I've often heard it referred to as an inexpensive, non-threatening wine for newcomers.
It's non-vintage, and a little sweet. Heavy on the jam and berry flavors, too much for me. Little to no tannins. Welch's grape juice aftertaste. About what I expected for $5. And incidentally, I'm currently drinking it barefooted.
