You can make it a pretty substantial dinner salad if you want.

Cheers,
BenitoBenitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15642446480589939085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-39599289165849724192011-02-02T07:21:58.061-08:002011-02-02T07:21:58.061-08:00What a terrific dinner idea Benito! I make a similar spinach salad topped with fresh rasberries and a sprinkle of crumbled feta or bleu cheese.

And the Eggs Hussarde - brilliant my friend!Markhttp://www.winelife365.com/noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-92167740274223043612011-01-31T10:34:29.749-08:002011-01-31T10:34:29.749-08:00Sam,

As it was we were groaning at the end of the main course.

I really wanted to include some oysters or shrimp, but my dinner companion doesn't dig the shellfish.

Cheers,
BenitoBenitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15642446480589939085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-22766330323134529872011-01-31T09:53:42.241-08:002011-01-31T09:53:42.241-08:00Damn, I'm starving now. Steak, eggs, hashbrowns (hey you didn't have any taters) and a martini is my current obsession.Samantha Duganhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05214278596698698245noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-78623038429349422352011-01-31T08:52:41.651-08:002011-01-31T08:52:41.651-08:00Thomas,

Let's just say that it's different when the ladies are involved, and one of these days I'll whip up a batch of marchand de vin for you.

Cheers,
BenBenitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15642446480589939085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-83526098148198655402011-01-30T22:44:49.599-08:002011-01-30T22:44:49.599-08:00That all looks very good brother. That all looks very good brother.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05700291732426823371noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-23894558878077350962011-01-30T15:49:13.506-08:002011-01-30T15:49:13.506-08:00Fredric,

The tricky part is timing everything properly so that you've got poached eggs, a rich brown sauce, and a delicate egg and butter sauce all ready to go at the same time.

Even more fun when you're cooking, serving, eating, wine tasting, and entertaining during the lead time. Fortunately, sauces don't provide a lot of opportunity for accidental knife wounds.

Cheers,
BenitoBenitohttps://www.blogger.com/profile/15642446480589939085noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-10338337.post-13601387606591963722011-01-30T15:22:59.980-08:002011-01-30T15:22:59.980-08:00you truly are a generous host. eggs Hussard is a l...you truly are a generous host. eggs Hussard is a lot of work.fredric koeppelhttp://www.biggerthanyourhead.netnoreply@blogger.com
